Shannyn Higgins

BIO

Shannyn Higgins is a photographer based in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

She has been behind the lens for 10 plus years and her versatile and adaptive style has her work span across portraiture, lifestyle and travel photography.

Also known for her fine art practice, in 2020 the State Library of Victoria purchased 14 of Shannyn’s portraits of local artists, stating ‘from a cultural perspective, their inclusion becomes part of the story of Victoria’s art history, for both photographer and the subjects as artists.’

Shannyn was also included in the KNOW MY NAME, an exhibition and a direct response to celebrate emerging and established women artists, curated by the National Gallery of Australia.

Her work effortlessly bounces between candid natural shots and ethereal, curated and uniquely captured portraiture.
