Hi, I’m Matt, a Senior Video Editor / Animator with over fifteen years of experience in advertising, television production, video game development, and sports media.

Throughout my career I’ve been fortunate enough to work with global brands such as McDonalds, Volkswagen, Samsung, Tourism Australia, Qantas, IKEA, and 7/11, creating award-winning visual content. I have held senior positions at DDB, McCann, and the Brisbane Lions AFL club, where I demonstrated my expertise in producing high-quality visual content for various media channels. My responsibilities have included editing TV commercials, online and social content, animations, hype reels and case studies – and everything in between.

More recently I joined CHEP Network during a transformative period for the business, where I played a crucial role in establishing new workflows, organising years of essential data, and expanding the internal production capabilities. Recognising my leadership qualities, CHEP enrolled me in an intensive leadership development course.

I am known for my attention to detail and strong knowledge of industry standards and practices, especially when it comes to delivery to networks and media outlets. I have played an active role in mentoring junior team members, advising on equipment upgrades, and contributing to diversity and inclusion committees.

Furthermore, my experience extends to roles such as Edit Assist at Channel 7, where I managed media ingestion, transcoding, and audio synchronisation processes. I also served as a Production Manager at DuplicateIT, overseeing the timely completion of media projects and leading a team of up to 10 staff members.

In my work as a Cinematic Editor, I showcased my talent for creating captivating in-game cinematics, trailers, animatics, and showreels. With exceptional time management and multitasking skills, I operated independently and collaborated directly with senior business leaders.

My diverse background and comprehensive expertise in video editing, production, and leadership make me a valuable asset to any creative team. My commitment to excellence and ability to deliver outstanding results have consistently earned recognition and success throughout my career.

Unafraid of the ‘deep end’ and a slight bend of the rules, when necessary, I approach every opportunity head-on, with the ultimate goal of telling good stories through visual communications.
