Luke Massey is an accomplished producer… as well as writer, director, editor, musician and stand-up comic.
Luke’s producer credits began with three seasons of the C31 travel adventure show Random Aussies, which he also created, directed and edited. Random Aussies aired in 14 countries around the world and was nominated for an Antennae Award.
Luke then produced Be Dragons for Fox Footy and ABC International, which was hugely successful and can still be seen on Kayo. Luke created, directed and edited the six part series about Geelong’s first disability football side.
As well as producer credits for Skit This and short film Little Soldier, Luke’s next big project was being series producer for internet series Arguments About Footy Over Coffee and League Lounge for Ladbrokes, as well as various commercials for the AFL/Telstra, Coact and Mildura Juice.
Luke is also one of the directors of LGF Comedy, Australia’s most successful regional comedy club – and has many upcoming projects in the works, including Boom Jellyfish’s pilot Comedy For Kindness, Be Dragons Season 2 and feature film The Shepherd’s Club with great mate and collaborator Tim Young. Luke and Tim also host radio show/ podcast Fat & Ginger.
I had the pleasure of working with Luke on the Mitre 10 corporate videos which were all about showcasing what our customers thought of us. Luke was responsible for interviewing shoppers on camera which wasn’t always easy especially as we had to approach people and ask them to be part of our video. Luke instantly made everyone feel comfortable, he adjusted his questioning according to the situation and was full of energy and fun which made the experience enjoyable for all around him. I would have no hesitation in working with him in the future.
