Dylan Blowen

BIO

Dylan Blowen is a Sydney-based sound recordist with over 17 years of experience rolling across 5 continents on series, features, shorts, TVCs and corporates from floating surgical theatres in West Africa to trenches in Europe to extreme remote outback Australia.

He has taught location and post-production sound extensively at the Australian national film school (AFTRS) and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and his knowledge of mixing and post-production noise reduction is invaluable in the field.

Whether operating out of a bag on-the-fly for observational documentary or running large teams of sound recordists on complex ten+ camera shoots, he is calm, flexible, fast, has an excellent rapport participants and crew and is always prepared for the variables that inevitably arise on location and set.
